A long time ago there was a website called Xtranormal that allowed users to create videos with preset characters and background, but the user could write scripts, dictate the story, manipulate camera angles, and do what so many folks do these days with AI video generation. So you can say this was a precursor to that.

In 2009 I tried my hand at this, creating two short series called “The Divide” and “Office Jungle”. I stopped after hitting a pay wall and when their tools changed.

With AI video becoming so popular these days, I’ve thought about potentially trying my luck with new stories. Perhaps one of the series I’m presently writing. Who knows!

Despite it being wonky and old as dirt, I still wanted to share the history so you can see where it started, and potentially where it may go. I admit, the script was absurd, but it was a fun experiment.
